Optimisation is a technique for efficient searching and identification of design options that best meet key design performance objectives in which the building simulation software is coupled with an optimisation algorithm. We employ a genetic Algorithm that is based on the the Non - Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II (NSGA-II) method for this purpose.

We also conduct sensitivity analysis for whole of building simulations to identify the variables with a potential to have the greatest impact on the design objectives and performance goals from an energy conservation and efficiency perspective to assist our clients in effective decision making.
